Description
The Stainless Steel Fork Playground Rope Connection has a fairly narrow application where the rope will only move on a single plane of motion. It is mainly used where the connection can be hidden. If the connection is not hidden then a welder is required on site to weld a connection tab onto the structure and then weld the clevis pin in place. This process limits the forks usage.
However it would create a great look if you were happy to take the time. For example it would look great as a raised walkway, rungs of a ladder, or a net with 80mm gaps where rigid edge ferrules might not be desirable.
This type of connection can be used into wood, metal and concrete.
Forks are most widely used where motion is required on a single plane, or where attaching to metal where you do not have easy access to flat surfaces on both sides. for example nest swings, raised walkways and nets confined by a non conventional steel frame. The complex installation process and welding that is involved means that this type of connection is only used when other options are not possible. Except where the connection is hidden like on a nest swing.
